a Kitchen in Hitchin

You learn something new every day…

Autumn greetings! Just a quick post without any pictures today. I wanted to tell you about the last radio show I went on with Nick Coffer on his weekend kitchen. It was probably the best one I’ve been on in terms of food eaten, eating 8 plates of food can be so hard you know! If you want to listen to the show click here and it will take you there, sorry you have only until Sunday lunchtime to listen, but if you are short of time make sure you send for the recipe sheet. There was a lovely recipe for a chicken stew which on the surface seems so simple, but was so delicious to eat. Chef Russell Bateman showed off here with his superior cheffy skills by talking about how you need to caramelise the vegetables and cook them right down before adding the pre-browned chicken and honey. It’s really good….and I have a batch bubbling in the oven as we speak. Have a good Halloween (I’m going to hide indoors I think!)
